Pamala Vaughn
Consultant
As a native of Wichita, Kansas, I relocated to Colorado in 2018 with a clear vision: to expand my impact as a Licensed Social Worker and thought partner within Denver Public Schools and the broader community. With over a decade of experience in social work, I bring a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and relational approach to consulting that centers authenticity, trust, and sustainable growth. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Wichita State University, along with advanced certifications as a Certified Trauma Professional and in Brainspotting. My work has spanned diverse systems, including foster care, domestic violence, chronic homelessness, and substance use. Whether supporting adolescents or adults, my practice is rooted in empathy, equity, and a deep respect for the resilience of lived experience.
During my tenure as Trauma Social Worker at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College, I led several key initiatives focused on social-emotional wellness and community engagement. These included designing and implementing a Trauma-Informed Strategic Plan, launching targeted Social Emotional Learning (SEL) groups, and founding an Affinity Club to promote equity in mental health support. I also contributed to Denver Public Schools’ Whole Child Initiative, aligning trauma-informed care with district-wide goals.
In 2023, inspired by a personal and professional shift, I transitioned from the school system to private practice, founding Divine Shyne Therapy, now licensed in both Colorado and Texas. This new chapter has allowed me to deepen my work through individual, group, couples, and family therapy, while also bringing my expertise into hospital settings and broader community care. As a consultant, I partner with schools, healthcare systems, and organizations to embed trauma-informed practices, strengthen relational culture, and foster holistic well-being. I believe in the transformative power of shared experience and the idea that healing, growth, and leadership are continuous, evolving journeys. Whether facilitating training, guiding system change, or providing strategic consultation, I am committed to helping others lead with empathy, equity, and purpose.
